It was great to work with Ryan and we are very proud of the results!

Benefiting the International Rescue Committee, Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats will feature bands and visual artists who created work inspired by The Clash and celebrating their music and human rights message.… Read more

Labasheeda 2015

The last months we’ve been busy finishing the new album and rehearsing with our new drummer, Aletta Verwoerd.

After supporting King Champion Sounds in Leeuwarden (our first gig in almost a year!), we’ll be playing in Amsterdam on April 11, followed by a tour through Germany and the Czech Republic (check the agenda for dates).

More info on the new record (to be released in May) coming soon…

In the studio again

From June 7-9 we recorded the basic tracks for our new album at Next to Jaap. Ten new songs, plus a cover of The Who’s Circles and an electric re-make of My Instincts (released last year on a 7″). Overdubbing and mixing will be done in the coming weeks, so the record should be finished before the summer holidays!

Touring & recording

Labasheeda will be touring the UK again in March. We are playing in London, Glasgow, Preston, York, Sheffield, and Bornemouth (see agenda for details).

After that we will be recording a couple of songs with Corno Zwetsloot at the Next to Jaap studio for our new album.

December 2013: a new 7-inch, more gigs

From December 9 our new 7″ is available, featuring the Yoko Ono cover Listen, the Snow Is Falling, a mellow version of Black Blood, plus three new songs. The EP is released in a numbered edition of 200 copies on snow white (well, sort of) vinyl.

To promote the release, we will do acoustic instore performances at the Irrational Library (the 14th) and Concerto (the 28th).… Read more

On the road again

Next week we’ll be on a six day tour through France with Bas Snabilie on drums (see agenda for details). In December there will be some more gigs in the Netherlands, plus the release of a 7″ containing five news songs which we recorded last Summer. Stay tuned.

New recordings

Last week we’ve been recording some (semi) acoustic songs at the Next to Jaap studio for a special release later this year.

Those who want a foretaste of the new material can come to Paradiso on July 23, where Saskia and  Arne will perform a short acoustic set (free entrance).

Blitz – Thunder from under

We’re back from a successful tour through the UK.

Our next gig will be at the Blitz festival at Zaal 100, Amsterdam on June 1, along with Space Siren, Letatlin, Fusée Dorée and NO|me.

Doors open at 20.00 h., entrance is € 6,00. We hope to see you there!
