Last Friday we have been recording The Clash song Deny with producer/engineer Ryan Hadlock for the forthcoming compilation Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats. Old friend and multi-instrumentalist Wim Elzinga joined us on banjo for the occassion.
It was great to work with Ryan and we are very proud of the results!
Benefiting the International Rescue Committee, Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats will feature bands and visual artists who created work inspired by The Clash and celebrating their music and human rights message.
The album will be released as a limited edition LP & as a digital download on World Refugee Day, June 20, 2020.
And that is not all, as we’ve also resumed working on a new Labasheeda record with Jan Schenk. Stay tuned!
